Catching up
Yikes! When they said this is an intense training course, they meant this is an intense training course.
It’s been a little bit since I last posted anything of no particular point. It’s dark and early which I should be sleeping but instead I’m laying in bed letting thoughts run through my head. Don’t get much of that these days. EMT training has been great. Tough but great. I’ve managed so far to pass all of my quizzes and test which we have one every class. Meaning we read chapter, after chapter, after chapter to take these test. So definitely no room for extra thinking.
Saturday’s are our hands on/scenario days. This far we have learned CPR, taking/reading vitals, administering O2, assisting with MDI’s and everyone of these is done with full on scenarios for 8 hours. Always fun. :) This Saturday we will be doing scenarios with epipen. All right!
Aside from school stuff, I managed to fit in my first roller derby bout. No, I was not in the bout! I sat in the crowd and cheered in an unbiased way since I don’t have a favorite team yet. Working on it. Haven’t gotten much else in except some thrifting. Always time for thrifting it heals the soul :) Just yesterday I bought a Nikon Fun Touch4 c.1995 all for the price of $1. I’ll be trying it out today.
Not much else..OH, my parents are coming up from Texas to visit in less than two months! Looking forward to that. I’ll get my house cleaned, quality time with them, won’t have to cook (because moms cook the best) and I may get a date night with the husband while they Z.
